COOLING SINGAPORE 1.5 CREATE PROGRAM
My second grant as Principal Investigator.
The Cooling Singapore project is starting its second phase, where I was invited to be a co-PI of the research project. I am looking forward to working with a highly interdisciplinary team, looking into complex studies associated to Climate Change and the Urban Heat Island effect. My first grant as Leading Principal Investigator.
After my first year in Singapore, I put together a project coupling two novel areas of research in cities - flexibility resources and district energy systems. I put the application together with my new colleagues in power systems from the Technical University of München. More information about this project in here.
A great partnership collaboration with VEOLIA.
VEOLIA Singapore offered financial support to our ongoing research. In my role as Senior Researcher, I scoped and negotiated the partnership, and settled the contract after one year. During the process I found valuable lessons, specially in the field of negotiation and contracting with industry partners. More information about this project in here.
ERANET - HORIZON 2020
My first successful application as co-author.
While finishing my PhD, I took the initiative to write, together with my supervisor, my first EU grant application. It was an encouraging experience, since the call required three institutions from three different countries, and one municipality to be on board. We put together two proposals; one was successful.
