The BIM (Building Information Modeling) method - is changing completely the way one can plan and build pretty much any infrastructure. It is a standard being implemented in more than 40 countries and in Switzerland it is a must to maintain high levels of quality and efficiency. It became a crucial topic to remain competitive at Axpo in Switzerland. I built a vision and strategy to ramp up skills, technologies, and processes in our team of 200 asset managers, engineers, procurement and sales officers. In three years time, we re-positioned ourselves in the market, being the first to built a Substation with 3D information models (no plans, no printing). I launched also a complete new department, built a team overseas and created new sources of revenue.
